# Textkiller vs Wonder Shield

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Wonder Shield at 96% against Textkiller's 37%. Wonder Shield also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.3). Textkiller's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 58) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Textkiller sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Wonder Shield sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wonder Shield holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Textkiller has 13K ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 37% of Textkiller's written reviews are positive against 96% of Wonder Shield's.

Textkiller ships an update every 2 weeks, Wonder Shield every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
