# VPN Hypernet vs Squirrel VPN Internet Security

The clearest difference is update cadence: Squirrel VPN Internet Security at every 2 weeks against VPN Hypernet's every 3 months. Squirrel VPN Internet Security also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.1). VPN Hypernet's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (373 vs 5). Both are free to download. VPN Hypernet sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per 7 days and Squirrel VPN Internet Security sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
