# Kilonotes vs Wellnote

The clearest difference is ads: Wellnote at none against Kilonotes's shown. Wellnote also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Kilonotes's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 914). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kilonotes sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Wellnote sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Kilonotes against 4.7 for Wellnote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kilonotes has 5K ratings behind it against 914, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 71% of Kilonotes's written reviews are positive against 77% of Wellnote's.

Kilonotes ships an update every 2 weeks, Wellnote fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
