# Free the Bookmarks vs Book Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Book Tracker at freemium against Free the Bookmarks's subscription. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Free the Bookmarks sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per year and Book Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
