# SmoothSwing vs Flowstate

The clearest difference is rating: SmoothSwing at 4.8 against Flowstate's 2.7. SmoothSwing also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 3) and chart position (#179 vs unranked). Flowstate's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 49%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmoothSwing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flowstate sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SmoothSwing holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmoothSwing has 11K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of SmoothSwing's written reviews are positive against 83% of Flowstate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SmoothSwing ships an update monthly, Flowstate fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
