# DiveHunter vs Paintball Shots

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DiveHunter at 49% against Paintball Shots's 0%. DiveHunter also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Paintball Shots's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 2.1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DiveHunter sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and Paintball Shots sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paintball Shots holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 2.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 67 and 29 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of DiveHunter's written reviews are positive against 0% of Paintball Shots's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DiveHunter ships an update every 3 months, Paintball Shots every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
