# CodeMaster vs Anotato

The clearest difference is rating: CodeMaster at 4.6 against Anotato's 3.7. CodeMaster also leads on ratings volume (140 vs 3). Anotato's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (75% vs 44%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CodeMaster sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Anotato asks for nothing beyond the download.

CodeMaster holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CodeMaster has 140 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of CodeMaster's written reviews are positive against 75% of Anotato's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CodeMaster ships an update monthly, Anotato every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
