# Lost Calc vs ShavKey

The clearest difference is rating: Lost Calc at 5.0 against ShavKey's 4.6. Lost Calc also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months). ShavKey's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lost Calc holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ShavKey has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Lost Calc ships an update every 11 days, ShavKey every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
