# Favorite Eats vs HotpotMan

The clearest difference is monetization model: HotpotMan at free with in-app purchases against Favorite Eats's paid. HotpotMan also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Favorite Eats sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and HotpotMan sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Favorite Eats ships an update weekly, HotpotMan every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
