# iMic vs Bluetooth Microphone

The clearest difference is ads: Bluetooth Microphone at none against iMic's shown. Bluetooth Microphone also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 18%). iMic's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (318 vs 32). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iMic sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.89 per month and Bluetooth Microphone sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iMic holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iMic has 318 ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of iMic's written reviews are positive against 50% of Bluetooth Microphone's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iMic ships an update every 3 weeks, Bluetooth Microphone every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
