# Chute vs TimeSync

The clearest difference is ads: Chute at none against TimeSync's shown. Chute also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). TimeSync's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chute sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TimeSync sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chute ships an update every 3 months, TimeSync every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
