# Pi vs GPX Export

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Pi at 1.3K against GPX Export's 6. Pi also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pi sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and GPX Export sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pi holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pi has 1.3K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 88% of Pi's written reviews are positive against 80% of GPX Export's.

Pi ships an update every 2 weeks, GPX Export every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
