# Fatal Evidence vs Detective Katy

The clearest difference is update cadence: Detective Katy at every 2 weeks against Fatal Evidence's every 4 months. Detective Katy also leads on review sentiment (52% vs 31%). Fatal Evidence's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 180). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fatal Evidence sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Detective Katy sells 34 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Fatal Evidence against 4.6 for Detective Katy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fatal Evidence has 1.1K ratings behind it against 180, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 31% of Fatal Evidence's written reviews are positive against 52% of Detective Katy's.

Fatal Evidence ships an update every 4 months, Detective Katy every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
