# 九章 vs REA

The clearest difference is update cadence: REA at every 3 weeks against 九章's every 5 months. 九章's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

九章 ships an update every 5 months, REA every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
