# WIWACAM vs Hubitat Elevation

The clearest difference is rating: WIWACAM at 5.0 against Hubitat Elevation's 4.1. WIWACAM also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). Hubitat Elevation's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 17) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WIWACAM sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Hubitat Elevation asks for nothing beyond the download.

WIWACAM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hubitat Elevation has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of WIWACAM's written reviews are positive against 24% of Hubitat Elevation's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WIWACAM ships an update every 5 weeks, Hubitat Elevation every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
