# AppBlock vs Focus mindset

The clearest difference is ads: Focus mindset at none against AppBlock's shown. Focus mindset also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). AppBlock's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AppBlock sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Focus mindset sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AppBlock ships an update weekly, Focus mindset fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
