# AppBlock vs Versus You

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Versus You at 100% against AppBlock's 55%. Versus You also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). AppBlock's advantage is ratings volume (6.9K vs 2) and chart position (#175 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AppBlock sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Versus You sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Versus You holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AppBlock has 6.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 55% of AppBlock's written reviews are positive against 100% of Versus You's.

AppBlock ships an update every 6 days, Versus You every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
