# Keep Writing vs Scan.Plus

The clearest difference is price: Scan.Plus at Free against Keep Writing's $2.99. Scan.Plus also leads on review sentiment (85% vs 50%) and ratings volume (771 vs 1). Keep Writing's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On rating, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Scan.Plus is free to download; Keep Writing costs $2.99 up front. Scan.Plus sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Keep Writing asks for nothing beyond the download.

Keep Writing holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scan.Plus has 771 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Keep Writing's written reviews are positive against 85% of Scan.Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Keep Writing ships an update weekly, Scan.Plus every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
