# iCool Remote vs Honorlock

The clearest difference is rating: iCool Remote at 2.9 against Honorlock's 1.1. iCool Remote also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). Honorlock's advantage is ratings volume (230 vs 8) and chart position (#90 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iCool Remote holds the better App Store score, 2.9 against 1.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Honorlock has 230 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of iCool Remote's written reviews are positive against 2% of Honorlock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
