# Tarot Tap vs Patch

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Patch at none against Tarot Tap's 13. Patch also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). Tarot Tap's advantage is ratings volume (45 vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tarot Tap sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Patch asks for nothing beyond the download.

Patch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tarot Tap has 45 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of Tarot Tap's written reviews are positive against 100% of Patch's.

Tarot Tap ships an update fortnightly, Patch every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
