# Backgammon GG vs Backgammon Premium

The clearest difference is rating: Backgammon GG at 4.4 against Backgammon Premium's 2.7. Backgammon GG also leads on ratings volume (97 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon GG sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Backgammon Premium sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon GG holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon GG has 97 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Backgammon GG ships an update every 6 weeks, Backgammon Premium every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
