# Tankfarm vs Intermatic Connect

The clearest difference is rating: Tankfarm at 4.5 against Intermatic Connect's 3.0. Tankfarm also leads on iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). Intermatic Connect's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tankfarm holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Intermatic Connect has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Tankfarm's written reviews are positive against 29% of Intermatic Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tankfarm ships an update every 7 months, Intermatic Connect every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
