# Walker Barber’s Pro vs Desktop

Walker Barber’s Pro and Desktop both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Walker Barber’s Pro's written reviews are positive against 43% of Desktop's. Desktop's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (71 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Walker Barber’s Pro against 4.9 for Desktop. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Desktop has 71 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Walker Barber’s Pro's written reviews are positive against 43% of Desktop's.

Walker Barber’s Pro ships an update every 3 months, Desktop every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
