# Braid Salon vs Shoe Race

The clearest difference is update cadence: Braid Salon at every 4 days against Shoe Race's monthly. On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Braid Salon sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Shoe Race sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shoe Race holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 20K and 31K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Braid Salon's written reviews are positive against 44% of Shoe Race's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Braid Salon ships an update every 4 days, Shoe Race monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
