# Braid Salon vs Bag Sim

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Bag Sim at 100% against Braid Salon's 47%. Bag Sim also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Braid Salon's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 25 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Braid Salon sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Bag Sim asks for nothing beyond the download.

Braid Salon holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Braid Salon has 20K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Braid Salon's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bag Sim's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Braid Salon ships an update every 4 days, Bag Sim every 25 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
