# SimplyLog vs Pilot Notebook

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pilot Notebook at none against SimplyLog's 2. SimplyLog's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimplyLog sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Pilot Notebook asks for nothing beyond the download.

SimplyLog ships an update every 8 days, Pilot Notebook every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
