# Instaeat vs Summit Coffee

Instaeat and Summit Coffee both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of Instaeat's written reviews are positive against 56% of Summit Coffee's. Instaeat also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.1). Summit Coffee's advantage is ratings volume (2.6K vs 277) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Instaeat against 4.9 for Summit Coffee. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summit Coffee has 2.6K ratings behind it against 277, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Instaeat's written reviews are positive against 56% of Summit Coffee's.

Instaeat ships an update every 2 months, Summit Coffee every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
