# Patterns vs Scale For Grams

The clearest difference is update cadence: Scale For Grams at every 4 days against Patterns's every 10 days. Patterns's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Patterns sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Scale For Grams sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Patterns ships an update every 10 days, Scale For Grams every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
