# Mess Book vs BotChanger VPN

The clearest difference is rating: BotChanger VPN at 5.0 against Mess Book's 4.1. BotChanger VPN also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 9 days) and device support (4 vs 2). Mess Book's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mess Book sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and BotChanger VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BotChanger VPN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mess Book has 19 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mess Book ships an update every 9 days, BotChanger VPN every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
