# Bill Bear vs Closer

The clearest difference is ads: Closer at none against Bill Bear's shown. Closer also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 8 days). Bill Bear's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (34 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bill Bear sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Closer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bill Bear holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bill Bear has 34 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 99% of Bill Bear's written reviews are positive against 100% of Closer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bill Bear ships an update every 8 days, Closer every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
