# Happy Corn vs Pancake Run

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Happy Corn at none against Pancake Run's 1. Happy Corn also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Pancake Run's advantage is ratings volume (29K vs 9) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pancake Run sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Happy Corn asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pancake Run holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pancake Run has 29K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Happy Corn's written reviews are positive against 51% of Pancake Run's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Happy Corn ships an update fortnightly, Pancake Run every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
