# ReproBack vs Camera Lucida

The clearest difference is rating: ReproBack at 4.4 against Camera Lucida's 1.8. ReproBack also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Camera Lucida's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ReproBack sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.49 per month and Camera Lucida sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReproBack holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of ReproBack's written reviews are positive against 4% of Camera Lucida's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ReproBack ships an update fortnightly, Camera Lucida every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
