# ReproBack vs Ricalko

The clearest difference is monetization model: ReproBack at free with in-app purchases against Ricalko's subscription. ReproBack also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and rating (4.4 vs 4.1). Ricalko's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (83 vs 8). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ReproBack sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.49 per month and Ricalko sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReproBack holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ricalko has 83 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of ReproBack's written reviews are positive against 11% of Ricalko's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ReproBack ships an update fortnightly, Ricalko every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
