# LOOKING CAM vs Hover

The clearest difference is rating: LOOKING CAM at 3.9 against Hover's 2.9. LOOKING CAM also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15). Hover's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 7%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LOOKING CAM holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 27 and 99 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of LOOKING CAM's written reviews are positive against 33% of Hover's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LOOKING CAM ships an update every 2 months, Hover every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
