# Image Text Scanner vs Text Scanner AI

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Image Text Scanner at none against Text Scanner AI's 3. Image Text Scanner also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 82%). Text Scanner AI's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (579 vs 6). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text Scanner AI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Image Text Scanner asks for nothing beyond the download.

Text Scanner AI holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Text Scanner AI has 579 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Image Text Scanner's written reviews are positive against 82% of Text Scanner AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
