# Basketball Roll vs Texathon

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Texathon at 100% against Basketball Roll's 72%. Basketball Roll's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 12) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Basketball Roll sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Texathon sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Basketball Roll holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Basketball Roll has 14K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Basketball Roll's written reviews are positive against 100% of Texathon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
