# CHEETAH vs kkVPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CHEETAH at none against kkVPN's 10. CHEETAH also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). kkVPN's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 34 months) and rating (4.1 vs 3.8). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. kkVPN sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. CHEETAH asks for nothing beyond the download.

kkVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: kkVPN has 340 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 33% and 33% positive.

CHEETAH ships an update every 34 months, kkVPN every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
