# PSRC Connect vs Open

The clearest difference is rating: PSRC Connect at 4.2 against Open's 2.7. Open's advantage is ratings volume (86 vs 5) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PSRC Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Open has 86 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
