# BitRip vs Mantis Canopy

The clearest difference is rating: Mantis Canopy at 5.0 against BitRip's 4.5. Mantis Canopy also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). BitRip's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (20 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mantis Canopy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BitRip has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BitRip ships an update every 11 days, Mantis Canopy every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
