# Gulpes vs Self

The clearest difference is update cadence: Self at every 8 days against Gulpes's every 3 weeks. Self also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gulpes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per 3 months and Self sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gulpes ships an update every 3 weeks, Self every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
