# Safe Notes vs Secret Notepad with Password

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Safe Notes at 22 against Secret Notepad with Password's 4. Safe Notes also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Safe Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Secret Notepad with Password sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Safe Notes against 5.0 for Secret Notepad with Password. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Safe Notes has 22 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
