# Yala! vs Faxo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Yala! at none against Faxo's 21. Yala! also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Faxo's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (2K vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Faxo sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Yala! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Yala! holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Faxo has 2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Yala! ships an update every 6 weeks, Faxo every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
