# QuickBooks Desktop vs Dutifypro

The clearest difference is rating: Dutifypro at 5.0 against QuickBooks Desktop's 1.9. Dutifypro also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). QuickBooks Desktop's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (120 vs 2). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dutifypro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. QuickBooks Desktop asks for nothing beyond the download.

Dutifypro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QuickBooks Desktop has 120 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

QuickBooks Desktop ships an update every 6 weeks, Dutifypro every 11 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
