# QuickBooks Desktop vs EV.content

The clearest difference is rating: EV.content at 5.0 against QuickBooks Desktop's 1.9. EV.content also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). QuickBooks Desktop's advantage is ratings volume (119 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
