# AcadBoost vs SciAstra

The clearest difference is rating: AcadBoost at 4.4 against SciAstra's 3.5. AcadBoost also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (7 vs 2). SciAstra's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (80% vs 60%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AcadBoost sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SciAstra asks for nothing beyond the download.

AcadBoost holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of AcadBoost's written reviews are positive against 80% of SciAstra's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AcadBoost ships an update every 4 months, SciAstra every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
