# Backgammon Champs vs Backgammon X

The clearest difference is update cadence: Backgammon X at every 2 weeks against Backgammon Champs's every 4 weeks. Backgammon Champs's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon Champs sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Backgammon X sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon Champs ships an update every 4 weeks, Backgammon X every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
