# iCV vs PDF Converter

The clearest difference is rating: PDF Converter at 4.7 against iCV's 4.1. PDF Converter also leads on ratings volume (551 vs 17) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). iCV's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (100% vs 77%). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Converter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. iCV asks for nothing beyond the download.

PDF Converter holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Converter has 551 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of iCV's written reviews are positive against 77% of PDF Converter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iCV ships an update every 5 months, PDF Converter every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
