# Language Transfer vs Parrot

Language Transfer and Parrot both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 94% of Language Transfer's written reviews are positive against 45% of Parrot's. Language Transfer also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). Parrot's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (18K vs 1.6K). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Parrot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Language Transfer asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Language Transfer against 4.7 for Parrot.
