# Fret Pro Guitar Notes Trainer vs FretMaster

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Fret Pro Guitar Notes Trainer at 810 against FretMaster's 1. FretMaster's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fret Pro Guitar Notes Trainer sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and FretMaster sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FretMaster holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fret Pro Guitar Notes Trainer has 810 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fret Pro Guitar Notes Trainer ships an update weekly, FretMaster every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
