# EnginPrep vs PPI

The clearest difference is review sentiment: EnginPrep at 62% against PPI's 0%. EnginPrep also leads on ratings volume (192 vs 46). PPI's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EnginPrep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. PPI asks for nothing beyond the download.

PPI holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 192 and 46 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of EnginPrep's written reviews are positive against 0% of PPI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EnginPrep ships an update every 3 weeks, PPI monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
